A few kilometers from Nîmes, we shall go to the famous Pont du Gard which in its green setting steps over the river Gardon.
Real masterful work realized by the Roman engineers to feed with water the city of Nîmes, it is a part of 50km long aqueduc between Uzès and Nîmes.
It is still a perfect example of mastery of the achitecture of our ancestors.
